.Of late we hear so much of suicide cases; the staggering statistics further revealed that within the year more men committed suicide than women. 1, 129 men took their lives as against 427 women. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that by the year 2020, 1.5 million people will kill themselves annually worldwide……We do not have the right to take our own lives. That belongs to God. Suicide is, in effect, self-murder. The unfortunate thing about it is that the one who commits it cannot repent of it. The damage is permanently done. We can see in the Bible that murderers have been redeemed (Moses, David, etc.), but they had opportunities to confess their sins and repent. With suicide, the person does not. JESUS SAID “I AM LEAVING YOU WITH A GIFT—PEACE OF MIND AND HEART. AND THE PEACE I GIVE IS A GIFT THE WORLD CANNOT GIVE. SO DON’T BE TROUBLED OR AFRAID. STOP ALLOWING YOURSELVES TO BE AGITATED AND DISTURBED; AND DO NOT PERMIT YOURSELVES TO BE FEARFUL AND INTIMIDATED AND COWARDLY AND UNSETTLED. (JOHN 14:27)……HAVING PEACE OF MIND AND PEACE OF HEART IS A GIFT FROM GOD, JESUS SAID PEACE BE WITH YOU 3X TO HIS DISCIPLES IN JOHN 20, THINGS MIGHT NOT BE GOING ON WELL WITH YOU AS YOU DESIRE OR PLANNED, BUT IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU SHOULD END YOUR LIFE, THE PRINCE OF PEACE SAYS COME TO ME (NOT TO ANY POLITICIAN, NOR TO YOUR MARITAL-PARTNER, NOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP-PARTNER) , BUT COME UNTO ME JESUS, ALL YOU WHO LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY-LADEN AND OVERBURDENED, AND I WILL CAUSE YOU TO REST. I WILL EASE AND RELIEVE AND REFRESH YOUR SOULS. (MATTHEW 11:28)
